Banban: ????? You literally cant have his garten without him. Yes he'll be there, that is non-negotiable.

Banbaleena: yes. Just because I think the dynamic between her and Banban is going to be hilarious if I manage to do it right.

Opila bird: yes. I love opila. Silly.

Slow seline: no, sadly. She showed up like,, twice in the original franchise, I don't know what to do with her.

Jumbo josh: yeah probably, need to gigure out why and how, but there's a big chance he'll be there.

Nabnab: yes,as with josh, I'll need to figure out why and how, but nabnab will definitely be there.

Nabnaleena: no, i might make a nod to the original series, by saying that she was a concept for a solution to nabnab's agressiveness, but was never brought to fruition.

stinger flynn: yes, I mean,,, someone needs to be the antagonist.

syringeon: probably not, i don't like him. Nor would i know what to do with him.

Sir dadadoo: absolutely not, the idea that he (creature with a mouth that has big sharp teeth and no eyes, and no other facial features) was ever meant to be a character for kindergarteners is just????? No????

Queen bouncelia: very likely, i don't have any reasons, most of the characters from gobb4 are gonna be here, if not all of them.

Chamataki/Tamataki: no,,, probably not,,, their design is really weird to me and i just,,, don't,,, see their function?? Nor how they fit in with the others but okay.

Toadster: the queen's gonna be there,,, so yeah,,,, he kinda also needs to be there..

Bittergiggle: hes from gobb4,, yes he'll be there. Also i love his design and his voice actor fucking carried all of gobb4 and gobb6, they killed him in gobb7, so he couldn't carry that one too sadly. I very likely won't kill him in my rewrite don't worry.

Kittysaurus: needs a design overhaul bit yeag, she stays

Blue banban/flumbo: No.

brushetta/anteater: probably not.

Zolphius: also probably not.

Captain fiddles: also also probably not.

Tarta bird: maybe?

I keep thinking about it so fuck it. Garten of Banban analysis time.

So Stinger Flynn kinda holds an unfair grudge against Banban, doesn't he? We see it in every single one of the dream sequences he gives the player. It's arguing and annoyance with Banban when he's not doing anything as far as we can tell. And I think it stems from one particular traumatic event to Stinger Flynn: his very first moments of awareness.

We get to see some of Stinger Flynn's first moments being alive and aware of himself. And the very first thing that he encounters is Banban in his devil form, lamenting he can't eat Stinger Flynn. That had to have been a terrifying experience for a newly sentient being! Knowing he was only spared due to his lack of something expected. He has no organs, thus isn't viable as food. And we see Stinger Flynn's first instincts were to get the hell out of that room as fast as he could. (Would be a lot more impactful were it not for that cannon minigame but I digress.)

A side note: Banban. He was fully grown opposed to Stinger Flynn's smaller (and younger??) self. As was Seline the Snail. Both of them were all ready adults versus Stinger Flynn being basically a child, which is fascinating in and of itself. Banban probably thought himself an adult from the moment he gained consciousness, considering he assumes he is the identity of his human genome donator, but the fact that he is fully grown compared to Stinger Flynn also implies some juvenile tendencies to Stinger Flynn's actions. He holds a grudge in a very petty manner because he's younger than the others. On some level, he's kind of still a child. Precocious, maybe, but that could help explain why he's the one most concerned for the children outside of the others. It explains why the children would accept him as a non-threat, even. He's one of them, at least mentally on some level.

I just find it interesting that Stinger Flynn is always in opposition to Banban in his mind, yet Banban kind of doesn't think about Stinger Flynn at all. Clearly, it made me think too hard about this game series, so. Ya got me there, Euphoric bros.

A lot of you really love it. Like now the post got 470 notes, which I consider A LOT. I have read the tags some of you wrote, so thank you for the lovely comments. It was really a silly mini-comic I did while I was practicing watercolor.

I actually want to expand the wacky universe the gang live in. It won't be any serious lore. Just a bunch of dumbos hanging around and probably committing crimes.

I don't know how much I can do since I've been very busy with school. But I will at least say the basics.

The gang still works in a kindergarten, but they are not locked up like before. They live and go on their daily lives like any humans.

Nabnab doesn't work there though. He worked as a bartender. Nabnaleena is, instead, his sister.

Banban wears party hats to avoid the extremely religious people's attention to his horns. Was kicked out of a christian preschool on first day.

Banban and Stinger Flynn had met each other in high school. Hated each other's ass, but somehow kept running into each other. They went to the same college, lived in the same apartment and worked in the same kindergarten. Had gay panic at some point.

Opila Bird is a wanted criminal. Criminal record : Attempt assassination, selling drugs, robbing banks.

Okay so if you're not interested in my GoBB theories, you can keep scrolling 🤭

OKAY SO I downloaded all the Garten of Banban games on my younger brother's PC (he doesn't know 0.0) and I've been noticing a lot of things.

In Chapter 1, there is this thing called "the crash", which happened on "Bring A Friend" Day. All the kids that are in the kindergarten are able to bring a sibling, friend, family member, whoever. All of this excess weight on the first floor caused Jumbo Josh to become overwhelmed, hence breaking the first floor.

This brings me to my first theory. If Bring A Friend Day wasn't that packed because there are very few kids in this kindergarten program, how could the floor have crashed?

Second theory, Jumbo Josh is giant, yes. But he doesn't seem to be able to be heavy enough to break any other floors below. So, I believe that maybe the first floor is overworked and old, but since the company is so in debt, they didn't have enough money to pay for repairs and ended up losing their top floor.

In Chapter 1, it is also made clear that Banban is actually Doctor Uthman Adam from his passport and ticket he used to travel from Montreal to wherever the company is located in Madrid, Spain. Here is the proof:

Now, in Chapter 2, we meet Zolphius and a lot of the main characters. We first interact with Nabnab and Banban, and there is a note that repeats "The spider is real."

This is written by a scared coworker who has witnessed Nabnab, and they seem to fear him greatly. (In all honesty, I would too lol)

But, I don't think Nabnab actually has any bad intentions. As it says on his mural art, "It's okay to have no friends and be miserable like me!", Nabnab seems to genuinely strive for friendship, but no one wants to be his friend because he's "scary".

This causes Nabnab to become hostile and aggressive towards everyone except for his friends, but even then sometimes he doesn't trust them. I think that's why he attacks us overhead when we're running away during the chase scene.

Then Banban comes along, he hits us behind the head and puts us in "surgery". But during said surgery, it only appears that in the room, we lay on a carpet and givanium is on the ground. I believe this was Banban's attempt to harm us, only to fail and flee.

The Captain Fiddles Floor is filled with only copies of Captain Fiddles, seven small ones and one giant one. Now, these creatures are described as "passive and docile" until the crash from Chapter 1 startled them into aggression.

That is where this note stems from:

So clearly these creatures are sensitive to frightening situations and react on instinct to protect themselves.

But my other theory is, why the hell are there guns in a kindergarten? Like, I know it's a whole facility and there may be the occasional whoopsie, but full on weapons and cannons? 0.0

Banbaleena also has this weird voiceline.

"No! Not again! I actually tried to be a good teacher this time!"

So, this is what it makes me think of. You know that one teacher that you absolutely hate(d) that just makes you rethink everything? Yeah, I think Banbaleena was that kind of teacher.

She's adamant, she's false happy, she's strict, she's overly dramatic. She's that one teacher than NO ONE likes, and that's why she uses inanimate objects as students because one, she lost all her actual students, and two, her actual students just didn't like her 0.0

Next, Chapter 3.

Okay, so this is when we first interact with Stinger Flynn and Nabnaleena. Now, while this chapter doesn't have very many secrets to look over, there still is the white room with hidden keycards.

The white room, in Stinger Flynn's "meditating room", has some interesting things.

In this room, there is a wall art of Chamataki and Tamataki with a whiteboard showing a rainbow DNA image with the words "Case 22, Genome Cloy".

Now, there is a paper that describes the genome cloy, and I'll summarize it here.

A genome cloy is where too many genome donors are given to one specimen, and the body of said specimen will go into a pure state of haze and berserk behaviour due to all the genetic diversity and mutation. During this, it is unsafe to hold one of these specimens in a kindergarten.

Now, this actually gives us a lot of useful information. It serves as why Chamataki and Tamataki in a certain tape shows them trying to tear themselves apart, simply because they are two different minds, two different animals reacting differently to this genome cloy.

Now, we have to talk about Stinger Flynn here.

So, already this stupid jellyfish is my favourite character. His smarts, his wit, his personality, his characteristics, everything.

But, he always seems to blame US for everything going wrong.

Sir, we didn't cause your first floor to crash- we didn't infuse you with givanium and tell you to kys-

Now, there are a LOT of images showing kids with Stinger Flynn, and it makes sense. Here are what most of them are:

Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4

Now, this kid often talks to their mother about these things, and due to the kid looking androgynous, they will be represented as "he" (just because, no I'm not being sexist). In the game, I actually think we play as the mother.

But, in Chapter 4, he also seems to blame us for his lack of strength when it was so clearly Sheriff Toadster?

Now, there's also a major secret in this chapter.

There is a hidden room in the Ventilation Sector. You have to go through Banban and Mr. Kabob Man's chase scene, finish the cutscene where Nabnab and Banban fight, and click Mr. Kabob Man's speaker for his iconic "Open Sesame!" for your secret keycard.

Now, this opens a room with some useless information, but it gives us some insight.

This is a room with a picture of Syringeon and some whiteboards with his information on it. But sadly, no paper was there to show anything else. It simply showed percentages of his survival rate during different situations.

But there are some tapes that show Toadster and Bittergiggle being forced to bow down to Bouncelia, and I presume this is when they first got together and truly followed the rules to avoid harm by the doctors studying them.

Now, there's also a few notes that show other doctors communicating with each other through those notes on the ground, and most of them seem old. So clearly their big plan was already put into action and was created.

A lot of people think Kittysaurus is a minor character, serving as only a boss to annoy the player. But, they actually some good background information that helps support character development.

It is known that Kittysaurus and Bittergiggle are very close friends because the giant feline appreciates Jester's jokes. In a sense, Kittysaurus was all Bittergiggle had to feel normal and accepted. So that's why you always see them together.

The fight in Chapter 4, the reunion in Chapter 6, they're very close friends and it serves as someone Bittergiggle is close to and cares about.

Now, Chapter 6 and 7 aren't very lore-packed like the other games. There are a few notes here and there, but none of them are important. Though, Chapter 7 offers some really good information in the beginning when Syringeon is talking to us.

He has a whiteboard showing all the characters that are alive, which include: Jumbo Josh, Sheriff Toadster, Zolphius, Syringeon, and a few others with question marks on their pictures to show that he's unsure if they're alive or not.

Back to the previous chapters, Chapter 2 holds a very specific point that I need to discuss.

When you get to the room where you meet Banban on the comms, you have to do a puzzle to get the keycard to enter the maintenance room.

However, there is a list of employee names on the wall, and the one with the gold star is named Weverly. Weverly is actually Ms. Mason. However, we don't know much about Ms. Mason except for the fact that she teaches the kindergarteners.

So, I believe the names on this list are also employees who work at the company who have either been killed or turned into givanium mutants.

Now, givanium is a major part of Garten of Banban. There are many notes that state how it works, why, what it does, etc etc. But there is one note in particular that really gets me nervous, and it's this one:

This is about the closet we'll get to a disloyal and worried coworker who genuinely believes what they're doing is wrong, and further proves that this company is getting more inhumane with their work.

Anyways, I love this game I'm sorry I had to ramble.

Dumb theory but I theorize that the banban we see in the stinger flynn dreams is Hellish Banban or I mean Banban's instincts because The Banban we know hates being called banban so stinger flynn always wishes to live a normal life with the other Banban who is just a thing such as primitive instincts and full of freedom

And Hellish Banban was in fact the first face stinger sees and on chapter 3 when he said "your friend here has helped me tremendously" was actually Hellish helping him succeed his plans, while Uthman (normal Banban) is the one who has helped us to succeed. So if he WAS actually Banban and not "Uthman's" memories then thats what Stinger wishes to see in his dreams.

Blah blah me yapping but I've always thought about this but it's a sucky theory who cares I'm just having fun.

(BTW I'm fully aware that normal Banban is not Uthman but just stating some ideas)

Queen Bouncilia:

• This girl is a straight-up badass. She will put anyone in their place, including Stinger Flynn.

• I personally believe the kids in her pouch(?) are just her joeys that can't be trusted by themselves.

◐ She's kind of the mom of the gang, and the others would rather go to her instead of Flynn.

◐ She babies Josh to a ridiculous degree.

Slow Seline:

• Her head is in the clouds a LOT and she lacks a strong attention span.

• She doesn't talk much, but when she does the others are usually quite surprised by it.

Jumbo Josh:

• He is definitely the most neurodivergent of the gang.

◐ His best friend is Selene.

• He's TERRIFIED of Stinger Flynn.

• He loves cooking.

Banbaleena:

• Her patience is like that of a strand of hair.

• She's kind of an airhead. I mean, if you think a basketball is a student then there's SOMETHING wrong, don't you think?

Banban:

• He HATES Flynn, and Flynn hates him. They both think they're the team leader, so that causes tension between them a LOT.

◐ He and Banbaleena are siblings, NOT romantic partners like some people seem to believe.

Opila Bird:

• She has severe anxiety and is CONSTANTLY checking over her shoulder.

• She's selectively mute but does make noises when reacting to things.

Captain Fiddles:

◐ He stays with Sheriff Toadster a lot of the time; they're buddies.

• He's pretty chill and just kind of goes with the flow. Nobody really has any complaints about him.

◐ He's the youngest of the gang and likes to drag the others into playing his games.

Stinger Flynn:

• Definitely the dad of the crew, but he's one of those dads who just ignores his kids until it's convenient for him.

• He has no patience for anyone, but exceptions can be made OCCASIONALLY for Josh and Opila.

◐ He and Bouncilia bicker like an old married couple, but don't say that to either of their faces or they'll lose their shit.

• Like I said in my last post, Flynn can change the size of his body at will.

◐ His normal/default size would be about 15-ish feet tall. He usually tries to stick to 6 or 7 feet, though.

Sheriff Toadster:

• I don't really have a lot of headcanons for him, but I do think he's extremely protective of the others.

• He radiates a weird but also nice Uncle energy.

(Headcanons may change as the chapters continue to release, so check in once in a while just in case!)

thinking that slow seline is aware of the rebellion and that's what she was talking about in the second chapter, referring to stinger flynn as "not one of them" and being new. she probably hated being at the kingdom too because of bad memories. i don't think she enjoyed witnessing the violence at all, and that's why she urged stinger flynn to hide. she knew it wasn't safe for him to be out in the halls, vulnerable and confused.

The naughty ones are already lose. There’s a war between the kingdom of Bouncelia and Dadadoo. ( so I’m debating whether the queen dies and toadster takes over as king or she survives)

Bittergiggle is a wildcard. He was a sweet naive jester who fell in love with a naughty one and ended up a prisoner and lab rat and now in hiding with rebels. ( Yes there are rebel groups who hate Bouncelia. FOR GOOD reason!!!)

Understandable. I mean, it’s not every day you have a demon talking about interdimensional travel along with their neck, being slit by a goddamn weird core creature that claims to have been human at one point. In all honesty, it sounds more like a Garten of ban ban fever Dream that stinger Flynn would put you through.

Back on my banbanposting

While BanBan is the ringleader of the mascots, and the smartest(which is not a fair challenge given the damage to the other mascots, but I digress), he is not the strongest by far. Without any weapons(things not attached to their bodies; sorry sheriff toadster), he is only in the middle. He has a pretty limber frame, without any extra limbs to cause clunkiness, but this only puts him at about the middle of the rankings in terms of strength. He’s beaten by the mascots like Jumbo Josh, NabNab and Stinger Flynn, who are the strongest. Lucky for BanBan, he doesn’t have to worry about Jumbo Josh or Stinger Flynn jumping him. NabNab, however, is a different story.

Outside of all the hostility between mascots close to BanBan, NabNab and BanBan have a special sort of negative relationship. NabNab is an outcast to the main group, similar to Stinger Flynn, though unlike him NabNab is able to go in both the flooded and dry sectors. NabNab, also like Flynn, is unable to talk, which means BanBan is never able to get a read on him. Especially not now, after the Givanium meltdown, which unnerves him. BanBan is used to having the mental one-up, but having neither that nor strength puts him in a vulnerable position.

BanBan and NabNab also are not helped by the fact that BanBan essentially stole NabNab’s spot as the face of the kindergarten.

In short, BanBan doesn’t like feeling inferior or vulnerable, and likes to keep up appearances, so NabNab was outcasted.

So, you can imagine BanBan’s surprise when NabNab shows up with MC, asking for a trade-off. NabNab is unpredictable, so BanBan is very unnerved being alone with him. He knows they both hate each other, and he unfortunately sucks at hiding that, so he ends up upsetting NabNab.

Fucking Garten of BanBan rewrite worming it’s way into my brain. I can’t get the sillies out of my head.
